Korzok Gompa Monastery

Tso-Moriri

The gompa (monastery), at 4,560 metres (14,960 ft), houses a Shakyamuni Buddha and other statues. It is home to about 70 monks. This revered monastery is 300 years old. The Tso Moriri Lake below it is also held in reverence, and considered equally sacred by the local people. This monastery belongs to the Drukpa Lineage.

Velavadar Black Bug National Park

Bhavnagar

Established in 1976 in the Bhal region of Saurashtra, the park is located around 42 km from the district headquarters city of Bhavnagar. Hugging the coasts of the Gulf of Khambhat on the south, it is spread over a large area, which was primarily a "vidi" (grassland) of the maharaja of the princely state of Bhavnagar for hunting the blackbucks with his famous hunting cheetahs.

Rabdentse Ruins

Rabdentse Ruins is the archeological site that tells Sikkim’s story of glory. Until 1814 A.D, it was the second capital of Sikkim, established by the Chogyal II. Later on, after the Nepalese invasion in the 18th century, the palace and the monastery complex was destructed and turned into ruins.

Tea Museum

Munnar

Around 1.5km northwest of town, this KDHP-owned museum is a demo model of a working tea factory, but still shows the basic process; along with a collection of relics from the British era including photographs and a 1905 tea-roller. The walk to/from Munnar follows a busy road with views across tea plantations.
