Surya Narayan Temple is a beautiful temple projecting various wall murals on its wall of circular structures and is dedicated to Sun God. It also features a sculpture of Lord Surya riding a chariot with seven horses. Apart from this the entire temple has a large number of murals all over it.
The Likir Monastery or gompa is one of the oldest and well maintained monasteries in Ladakh district in India’s northernmost state, Jammu and Kashmir. Bandhani is an expression used in Gujarat for textiles where different designs are produced by tying individual parts of the fabric before dying. The Gujrati word‘ Bandhavun’ is derived from the Sanskrit word for tying ‘Bandhan’. The people engaged in producing designs on fabric as a result of tie-dying technique are known as ‘Bandhej’.
