A spiritual Oasis in the Aravali Hills

Ranakpur is a small quaint town nestled amid the secluded valley of Aravali Ranges in the Pali district of Rajasthan, . Situated around 96 km North of Udaipur and 162 km South of Jodhpur, it is an important destination for Jain pilgrims. The place presents a unique spectacle of verdant greenery and gushing streams, an unusual sight in Rajasthan. Immersed in the vibrant culture with a myriad of enrapturing beauty in store. It is named after the King Rana Kumbha, who donated some land for the place.

Climate /Best time to visit

From October to March, lying in the tropical climatic zone,Ranakpur experiences typical hot and dry summers. The maximum temperature during the season rises up to 42 degrees celsius and Winters with mercury varying between 11 and 20 degrees celsius.

Ranakpur Jain Temple

Ranakpur

This temple was built in the 15th century when this region was ruled by the Rajput monarch Rana Kumbha. The construction of the temple was undertaken by a Jain businessman Dhanna Shah. There is a similarity in style in the construction of the Ranakpur Temple with that of the Mirpur Jain Temple which is located at Mirpur in Rajasthan. The temple has four faces.

Surya Narayan Temple

Ranakpur

Surya Narayan Temple is a beautiful temple projecting various wall murals on its wall of circular structures and is dedicated to Sun God. It also features a sculpture of Lord Surya riding a chariot with seven horses. Apart from this the entire temple has a large number of murals all over it.
