Mararikulam is a beautiful village tucked away in the town of Alappuzha, known widely for its yellow sandy beach Marari. It is around 11 km away from Alappuzha. It smells of history as the village folks are still very traditional and they practise a form of living which was prevalent hundred years ago. This village is famous for its coir making. The land in this village is very fertile, and a very serene ambience surrounds it. It is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. The trips with the fishermen to the ocean can enrich you with their lifestyle and customs that they follow.
Climate
The beach has hot and humid climate all through the year. June, July in the summers and late October to December in winters receive a heavy downpour; so we advise you against visiting the beach at the time. The ideal time to visit the beach is between late December and March when the weather is dry and pleasant.
