Days walk starts walking on the true right of the stream Amrit Ganga, draining the 40 km. long Bank Kund valley in the NW meets Dhauli. Through a meadow in the shadow of the Zanskar range.

After about an hour and a half of easy walking, the steep section will bring you to the side of Bank kund glacier.

From here we walk over moraine till we reach camp for overnight. "Wrote Frank Smythe of a ground between Thur and Eri Udiar where we established ourselves on the 12th. It was an idyllic camping site.
